Brian Foley began performing as a clown at the age of fourteen when he joined the Barnum Festival in Bridgeport, CT.
Since then, he has appeared at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Symphony Space in NYC, two World Clown Festivals in China, Madison Square Garden, and the internationally touring SpiegelWorld tent. He has walked down the red carpet with Madonna and been photographed with John Stewart for Entertainment Weekly. |

Brian has been seen around the world with Circus Bambouk (for whom he acts as artistic director), Circo Zanni , Cirque Voila, Cirque du Jour, Bietak Ice Shows, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Holland America Cruise Line, and more. He has opened for the Drifters, the Platters and Charo, and shared the stage wtih award-winning circus artists from the Moscow Circus, Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe, Big Apple Circus and Cirque du Soleil.
At home in NYC, Brian hosted the Funhouse Festival of Family Variety Theater, has appeared in both the New York International Clown Theater Festival and the New York Downtown Clown Revue, and was a featured performer at the Westbeth Arts Center, the Flea, Town Hall and Bindlestiff Family Cirkus' Palace of Variety. Brian was the featured clown for three seasons of Christmas Revels at Symphony Space. |

Brian has directed, consulted and taught for the Much Ado Circus, Cirque Voila, Circo Zanni, Velocity Motion Werks circus school in Canada, the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, the Theatre Company at Hubbard Hall, NYU, and several NYC-based theatre companies. He also teaches circus arts to children of all ages, and was the circus arts director for Future Stars camp in Old Westbury, NY and the Kodiak Arts Council circus camp in Alaska. |
